Merging Credit Unions Agree on KnowledgePortal360 to Facilitate Transition
LAS VEGAS, Nevada, July 13, 2008 – To create a single business and culture from the merger of
financial cooperatives Summit Credit Union (Summit CU) and Great Wisconsin Credit Union, the
new company has selected TFactor, Inc.’s KnowledgePortal360 as its training and eLearning
platform. KnowledgePortal360 is a comprehensive web portal that empowers organizations to
create, deliver, and manage a diverse range of classroom and e-Learning curriculum.
Summit CU has chosen to take advantage of TFactor’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution
business model for the KnowledgePortal360 implementation. The application will be hosted and
maintained in the TFactor data center and online access provided to all Summit CU employees
and members for a low monthly fee. Summit HR personnel will be able to focus on developing
course content and monitoring employee training progress, confident that KnowledgePortal360 will
reliably deliver all training, and assess and track employee activity.
Utilization of the system will begin immediately. KnowledgePortal360’s web conferencing
functionality will facilitate “face-to-face” collaboration as the combining staffs plan the transition.
Tony Klubertanz, Summit CS’s Director of Training and Development, led the company’s diligent
evaluation of the market-leading solutions available that resulted in KnowledgePortal360’s
selection. “We reviewed a number of systems and determined that the best solution moving
forward for the combined credit union is KnowledgePortal360. Functionality, ease of use, support,
and of couse, cost were all factors in KnowledgePortal360’s favor.”
TFactor President, Terry Omojola, announced the contract signing: “We are proud to have been
selected by the largest credit union in Wisconsin. That KnowledgePortal360 was deemed superior
to many very strong competitive solutions confirms our strategy of focusing on the financial
services market with a customized solution and learning content.”
Summit CU will roll out its new training curriculum over the next few months, including off-the-shelf
courseware and custom modules developed in house.
