The New Dr Pepper Museum Web Site –
There’s Just More to It

Dr Pepper, the oldest major soft drink brand in America, originated in Waco,
Texas, in 1885.  The company donated its original building to a non-profit
organization for use as the Dr Pepper Museum.  Imaginuity Interactive, a Web
services firm providing creative technology solutions for commercial, retail and
civic clients since 1996, has been engaged to “pep up” the museum’s web
presence.

The museum opened in 1991 and attracts more than 65,000 visitors each year.
With a mission to educate and entertain the general public through the collection
and exhibition of objects relevant to the history of the soft drink industry, the
museum demonstrates America’s free enterprise economic system and is a
popular field trip for Texas school children.

Reflecting the Dr Pepper tagline, “There’s Just More to It,” Imaginuity will be
expanding the museum’s web site format to better market its facilities to the
community and to attract visitors and financial support.  Imaginuity’s
Elementum™ Site Management platform will enable three marketing channels –
i) an outreach program to opt-in museum patrons and visitors, ii) search engine
optimization strategies to increase site traffic, and iii) on-site conversion of
browsers into museum visitors.

The Elementum™ tools allow museum staff to collect and manage contact
information provided by site visitors requesting the museum newsletter.   Staff
can easily post those newsletters, as well as update all other site content –
search engines reward sites that maintain “fresh” content with higher rankings.
With site traffic generated, the award-winning Imaginuity Creative and Information
Architecture teams take visitors by the mouse and lead them effortlessly past the
marketing messages and through the e-commerce process.

Imaginuity is proud of its contributions to the arts and culture.  Having begun as a
non-profit itself, the agency sets aside a percentage of its billable hours for pro
bono work each year.  Ever inventive, the Imaginuity Creative team now claims
their DP breaks at 10, 2, and 4 are pro bono time.  Does your company’s web site
